Automated monitoring system of treating facilities

1 Purpose

The automated monitoring system of treating facilities (hereinafter referred to as "the AMS-TF" or "system") is intended for controlling the treating facilities process and monitoring the technological parameters as well as for maintenance the optimum mode of reservoir-drips.

The automated monitoring system of treating facilities is built on the base of two sybsystems: the typical solution of the tank farm APCS (ref. Section IX.8 of this Catalogue) and the typical solution of the AMS-GPS (ref. Section IX.5 of this Catalogue).

The differences from the other designers' applications are:
– measuring levels and levels of media separation of multiphase fluids;
– assigned algorithm subsystem interaction;
– controlling the shutoff valve stock according to Customer’s scheduled procedure.

The system is a typical solution of monitoring and controlling the tank farms of treating facilities.
The object configuration is: 8 electrically-operated gate valves, 2 skimmed oil pumps, 2 oil-field water pumps, expenditure records by 4 measuring pipelines.
The system block diagram is shown in Figure IX.9.1

Figure IX.9.1 –Automated Monitoring System Of Treating Facilities. Block Diagram.

2  Composition

The system comprises:
– SUR-5 ultrasonic level alarm – 12 pcs;
– DTM2-1 multipoint temperature transmitter – 1 pc per reservoir;
– DUU2M-12 ultrasonic level transmitters 1 pc per reservoir;
– BPI1 isolated power unit – 2 pcs.;
– set 1 of modules of the GAMMA-11 industrial multi-purpose controller (hereinafter referred to as "IMPC GAMMA-11") in compliance with Table IX.9.2;
– set 2 of modules of the GAMMA-11 IMPC  in compliance with Table IX.9.2;
– one of the controlling and visualization panels (for GAMMA-11 IMPC Terminal-2 or Terminal-3) in compliance with Table IX.9.3;
– automatic control cabinet (valves, uninterruptible power supply source and others);
– application software of GAMMA-11 IMPC.
